Hear, See & Taste the Difference Chiropractic Can Make

Often times people with similar symptoms come into health care offices in bunches. Carolyn Myss, an author and gifted medical intuitive, suggests that this happens so that doctors can learn more about the presentation and healing of a set of symptoms. Maybe that is why, or maybe it is simply that we start looking for the patterns and notice it. In the past month you may have come into the practice or referred people who were having trouble with their hearing or vision. If so, welcome and thank you! Many patients at Chiropractic First know that chiropractic is one of the most effective methods for helping children with ear infections. But you may not know that we help people with ringing in their ears, sound sensitivity, seeing “floating” lights, blurry vision and other sensory problems. I had a colleague who lost his sense of smell after an accident as a child. He regained it through chiropractic and used to know when he needed to get adjusted because his sense of smell would start to wain. A few years ago I had a patient who partially lost her sense of taste after an error when her wisdom teeth were pulled. She regained that sense after beginning chiropractic care. Chiropractic can help with a myriad of sensory problems. All of this is possible for the same reason you have had the wonderful results you have had. Chiropractic helps your body communicate and function better. When you get adjusted, your nerves communicate more effectively. Then they are better able to tell your body about sound, smell, sight, taste and touch. There is no special “hearing” adjustment that helps people hear better. It’s likely that there is more tension in the head and upper neck of people with sensory complaints. However, there may not be. There is not always a direct relationship between where the symptoms are and where the problem is. Chiropractic focuses on the parts of your body where your nerves are not
communicating and where your body is holding stress. By helping you release that stress and helping your nerves communicate better, your entire body will function better. What changes have you noticed in your senses since beginning chiropractic care?
