Your Second Visit

On your second visit to Chiropractic First you will learn more about your treatment plan and you will get your Adaptability score. This score is created by analyzing the results of your exam findings. It helps the doctors create your treatment plan. As your Adaptability score improves, your care plan will change. We will also review our financial packages so you can decide how you want to pay for your treatment.

On your second visit we will create your care plan.

1)      Am I going to get better?

On this visit we will talk specifically about your goals and what it will take to achieve them. Regardless of whether your goals are to get out of pain, help your baby to nurse with more ease or improve your child’s ability to focus in school, we will talk about how we can help you and your family.

2)      What is wrong with me?

I can tell you now—there is nothing wrong with you. There are places where your body isn’t healing. And there may be places where your body is over-communicating about pain. Or your body may feel like it’s being threatened by things that aren’t all that dangerous (like allergies or anxiety). But the problem isn’t you, or your body. The problem is the way your body and brain are interacting. We just need to help them get back on the same page. During your exam we looked for specific indicators about how well your body and brain are communicating, and what is preventing you from healing. Those factors are what we used to create your Adaptability score. On your second visit, you will learn what we found. Additionally, we’ll let you know how you responded to your first adjustment and how we expect you to progress.

3)      How long is it going to take to heal? How often will you need to come in to get results?

While we never know exactly how people will heal, we will make you a care plan based on your Adaptability score. One factor is how your felt after your first adjustment. Did you feel less pain? Did you feel more pain? Did you feel peaceful and grounded? Did you feel new sensations that you haven’t felt before? Often people say they feel different, but they can’t quite describe it. That is because their bodies are waking up! They are getting increased neurological information from their body, but can’t yet fully understand or process it. It’s a great sign that you are on the right track! Feelings are important information from your body about how it heals. So pay attention! On your second visit, we’ll want to know what you felt. If you can’t describe it, that’s ok.

Once we set your care plan, we’ll want to schedule out your visits. Think about what days or times are going to be  best for you to  come in. Bring your calendar!

4)      Your second adjustment. Once we get your goals set, your care plan scheduled and your financial questions answered, you will get your second adjustment. (Adjustment is the word for a chiropractic treatment) The entire visit usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

Will my insurance cover it?

Maybe. Chiropractic First provides a very specific and advanced form of chiropractic. It is not covered by Medicare and does not meet most insurance companies’ definition of chiropractic. Because of that, we are not in-network with insurance companies.

Your insurance company may cover your treatment out-of-network. We bill our services under the code 97139. You can contact your insurance company to see if they will cover that code. We are happy to provide you super-bills that you can submit to your insurance carrier. They may reimburse you for your treatment.

You can use your FSA or HSA to pay for your treatments. We are happy to give you receipts to document those payments.

If you are not comfortable on your back, due to pregnancy or any other concern, we have lots of pillows to modify your position. Or you may remain face down or seated.
